Tailing behavior
Web9 Apr 2024 · Understanding tailing behavior is one of the most challenging issues for both geotechnical and environment engineers. Tailings are defined as mineral waste that is crushed and deposited after the extraction of desired minerals. Constructing a tailing dam usually requires a remarkable amount of loan resources. WebThe tailings always contain heavy metals, toxic substances, and chemicals added during mineral processing, which may disperse into the environment and threaten public health. In addition, because of the small grain size and high water content, the mechanical stability of the tailings mass is poor.

Web1 Feb 2016 · The base glass absorption in borate glass revealed an extended band tailing, which exhibited a non-zero absorption in the Ce 3+ excitation region. This absorption loss due to host׳s intrinsic band tail leads to a significant reduction in the quantum yield of Ce 3+ luminescence in borate glass. WebThe behavior of fragments, aggregates, and host cell proteins was described with the help of offline analysis. After in silico optimization, a validation experiment confirmed an improved process performance in comparison to the historical process set point.
